WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Personal information you disclose to us
We do not collect any personal information that you disclose to us. You can sign in to the application with your SOTA account if you wish to do so. This information is only stored on your device and is not transmitted in any way. You may remove this information by clearing the application data or removing the application from your device.
Application Data
- Geolocation Information. We request access or permission to track location-based information from your mobile device, either continuously or while you are using our mobile application(s), to provide certain location-based services. If you wish to change our access or permissions, you may do so in your device’s settings. This information is not transmitted outside of the device and the request is made solely for the purpose of providing location information on the in-application map.
- Push Notifications. We may send you push notifications if you have enabled the spot notifications feature. This may be disabled by turning off this feature.
Information automatically collected
Log and Usage Data. Google Firebase Analytics is in use in this application. The information collected by this service is not merged with any of the personal information that is collected/provided. This technology uses identifiers from mobile devices to uniquely identify devices. The user may opt-out of this data collection through applicable device settings, such as the device advertising settings for mobile apps, or any other available means.
HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
No information you provide including your SOTA account information or your location service information is transmitted outside of the device. Your SOTA account information is used to authorize the posting of new Spots or Alerts to the SOTAWatch database servers.
Log and Usage Data. Log and usage data are processed by the Google server to provide push notifications if you opt-in and to provide application usage statistics and analytics to further improve users’ experience.
WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We share only analytics information with the google firebase servers. The purpose is to provide application usage statistics and analytics to further improve users’ experience.
